Hi I’m Dawn Bast, Educational Consultant, Therapeutic Educator, and founder of Body Brain Learning. We are pleased to support our local homeschool community, partnering with TDA + Homeschool Centre, who values personalized, meaningful education for each child.
We believe every child is uniquely wired to learn and thrive. Our approach goes beyond traditional tutoring by focusing on the root causes of learning challenges. Through a combination of movement-based strategies, sensory integration, and cognitive development, we help students build lasting skills in reading, writing, spelling, executive functioning, social skills, and math. Our work is strengths-based, honouring each child’s natural abilities while supporting areas of difficulty.
We offer Davis® Mastery Programs for reading, math, and attention, along with our unique Body Synergy Program. These services are ideal for homeschool families seeking flexible, individualized support that fits their child’s pace and learning style. We also work closely with parents, providing practical tools that can be used at home to reinforce progress and build confidence.

Body Brain Learning was founded by Dawn Bast, M.Ed., a homeschool mom of diverse learners who understands firsthand the challenges many families face. Her vision was to create a learning centre that truly meets the needs of children across Central and Northern BC. She is passionate about helping students become capable, confident, and self-aware. Outside of her work, Dawn enjoys reading, kayaking, and spending time at the lake.
